On Veterans Day, we pause to remember, honor, and deeply thank the men and women who have dedicated their lives to serving our country. Veterans represent the best of us—the resilience, courage, and unity that form the bedrock of our nation. Today, and every day, we are grateful for their service and their sacrifices that allow us to live in freedom and peace.
The strength and determination shown by our veterans inspire us all. They serve not for recognition, but out of a commitment to something bigger than themselves—a commitment to country, to each other, and to the values we hold dear. We owe these brave individuals not only our gratitude but also a promise: a promise to remember their sacrifices and to support them as they’ve supported us.
At times, it’s easy to take freedom for granted, to go about our daily routines without pausing to reflect on the cost of the liberty we enjoy. But as we take a moment today to recognize our veterans, let’s acknowledge that behind every freedom we cherish is a story of sacrifice. And behind every veteran is a family, a community, and a nation that has been made better because of their courage and selflessness.
For many veterans, the journey doesn’t end when they come home. They continue to contribute to our communities as leaders, mentors, and advocates. They carry with them lessons of resilience, leadership, and strength, often quietly shaping our workplaces, our neighborhoods, and our lives. Let’s show them our support, not only with words but with action—by being there for them in their transition to civilian life, by championing policies that support their well-being, and by recognizing the value they bring to every sphere of our society.
Today, let’s take the time to reach out, listen to their stories, and offer our heartfelt thanks. I personally want to extend my deepest gratitude to our veterans. Thank you for your service, for your sacrifices, and for embodying the spirit of true patriotism.
Semper Fi,
